Mid September 2009 Update

If there are important updates that need to be announced before the scheduled end-of-month update, VARC-Online will publish a mid-month update.  If there is any additional information that you would like published here, please send an email to varc.web@live.com.

1.  EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - Landscaping services with Nature Scape are being reduced from once a week to once every other week. 

According to Robin Thurmond of GW & Associates, the front half of the property will be cut one week, then the back of the property the next week, and so on.  This is in an effort to reduce costs, as VARC is approximately 2-3 months in debt to the landscapers.  This reduction in services will save our community $1200.00 per month.

2.  Plans are in the works to start a Neighborhood Watch Program.  Be on the lookout for an announcement regarding a tentative date and venue to hold a neighborhood meeting.  Because of the increasing rate of crime in Atlanta and in our local community, we hope the entire neighborhood will participate in this endeavor.  At the meeting we can also discuss other issues affecing our community.  If you would like to assist in the plans, please send an email to varc.web@live.com. In the meantime, remember to always watch for suspicious behavior, get to know your neighbors, and call 911 in the event of an emergency.

3.  Would you like text message updates regarding VARC-Online and other VARC community events sent to your mobile phone?  How about due date reminders for your quarterly HOA bill sent to your phone? If so, send your request to varc.web@live.com!  All phone numbers are kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone.

4.  Remember, HOA fees are due October 1, 2009.  HOA payments can be made in person, by mail, or online.   Remember that HOA payments can be made online at www.gwmgt.com, by mail (GW & Associates, 1585 Old Norcross Road suite 101, Lawrenceville, GA 30045), by bank draft, or in person.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Robin Thurmond of GW& Associates at 678-407-6307.
